Cardigan Town FC (07/08/08)

Cardigan Town Football Club consists of over one hundred players, spread across five junior league teams (under 9’s, 11’s, 13’s, 15’s and 17’s) plus two senior teams. We are an active club that is especially commitment to developing young footballers in the area. As you can imagine with over 70 children at training and ‘match days’ every week, the organisation of these activities heavily relies upon our small team of coaches and dedicated volunteers. Supporting this also consumes a large of amount of financial resource from within the clubs funds.

Over the last few years we have relied upon donations from main club sponsors and council grants to sustain the growth of the club to where it is today. We are very grateful to these sponsors and also the donations received from a number of small businesses within the area. As chairman (and player) of the club I’m inviting you to ‘play’ a part and join the club to help support, develop and sustain its position over the coming football season 2008 to 2009.

As a club we offer a variety of initiatives that through your generous donations would benefit you as a business whilst also returning something back into the community. Firstly, the club provides a weekly match day poster, which is distributed across the town and neighbouring areas, advertising the games for the coming week. A single business advertisement block costs £30.00 for the whole season, and the main poster sponsor would cost £200 for the season. If you would like to see an example of past posters please contact me.

Secondly, it is possible for your business to become a ‘match day’ sponsor. Your business name will be highlighted in an area in the middle of the poster along with the fixture details for a small donation of £25.

Thirdly, the club now has its own website (www.cardigantownfc.co.uk) that allows sponsorship and links to be advertised. It’s the clubs intention to grow the website to link through to many of Cardigan Town websites, for example the tourist site. The cost for placing a link or advertisement would be £50 for the season. All these are available on a first return basis.

I personally hope you take up one of the above opportunities to help support the club, whilst also prompting your business. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me.
